Welcome to BrandOS, operated by eBrandBuilders ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our brand strategy platform at brandos.so (the "Service").

By using BrandOS, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Service.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

Account Information: Full name, Email address, Company or brand name, Industry or category, Business stage, Your role in the business, Payment information (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your complete payment card details).

Brand Strategy Data: All answers you provide to our framework questions (Foundation questions and 7Cs framework), Project names, descriptions, and settings, Brand purpose, values, promises, and other strategic outputs, Generated One Page Brand documents, Notes, comments, and annotations, Any files you upload to the platform.

Communication Data: Newsletter subscriptions, Support requests and correspondence, Feedback and survey responses, Communications through our Slack Community.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: Log data (IP address, browser type, device type, operating system), Pages visited and features used within the platform, Time and date of visits, Time spent on pages, Referring website addresses, Click patterns and navigation paths.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Session cookies (required for platform functionality), Authentication tokens (to keep you logged in), Analytics cookies (with your consent), Preference cookies (to remember your settings).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of the Service.

• To Improve and Develop the Service: Analyze how users interact with the platform, Identify and fix technical issues, Develop new features, Improve our AI models, Conduct internal research.
• To Communicate With You: Send newsletter, product updates, educational content, support responses, and service notifications.
• For Security and Fraud Prevention: Detect and prevent fraudulent transactions, Monitor for suspicious activity, Protect against unauthorized access, Enforce our Terms of Service.
• For Legal and Compliance Purposes: Comply with legal obligations, Respond to lawful requests, Protect our rights and property.

4. How We Use AI and Your Data

4.1 AI Processing

Your answers to framework questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your brand strategy. Here's exactly how this works:

• What AI Does: Analyzes your responses, Generates strategic recommendations, Creates content for your One Page Brand, Applies insights from our proprietary knowledge base.
• AI Training: Our AI models are trained using our library of 70+ analyzed brand case studies. Your specific project data is NOT used to train AI models. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models.
• Data Sent to Anthropic: Your answers to framework questions, Context about your brand (name, industry, stage), Previous answers within the same project.
• Anthropic's Commitments: Anthropic does not use your data to train their AI models. Data is processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

4.2 Important Limitations

You must review all AI suggestions. AI-generated content is a starting point based on your input and our framework. You are responsible for reviewing all strategy components and making final strategic decisions.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security updates.

Important Limitation: No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained while account is active.
• Project Data: Retained while account is active + 30 days after deletion.
• Payment Records: Retained for 7 years (tax requirements).
• Account Deletion: Upon request, your account access is revoked immediately and project data deleted within 30 days.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data. European Union users have additional GDPR rights (rectification, erasure, restrict processing). California users have CCPA rights (know, delete, opt-out).

9. International Data Transfers

BrandOS is operated from Canada. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

BrandOS is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
